Surgical Gastroenterologist

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Gastroenterologist to join our medical team. The role involves performing advanced surgical gastroenterology procedures, general surgeries, as well as diagnostic and therapeuticc endoscopic/colonoscopy procedures. The consultant will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver superior patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform surgical gastroenterology procedures including GI cancer surgeries, liver, pancreas & biliary surgeries, and laparoscopic procedures
• Handle general surgery cases such as appendectomy, hernia repair, gall bladder surgery, and trauma/emergency care
• Conduct diagnostic & therapeutic upper GI endoscopy procedures • Perform diagnostic & therapeutic colonoscopy procedures
• Collaborate with other consultants, anesthesiologists, and ICU staff for comprehensive patient care
• Ensure adherence to medical ethics, hospital protocols, and infection control practices • Provide patient education, counseling, and maintain accurate medical documentation • Contribute to building and expanding the Surgical Gastroenterology specialty within the hospital

• Qualifications

• MCh / DNB in Surgical Gastroenterology from a recognized institute
• Valid registration with National Medical Council (NMC) / State Medical Council Experience
• Minimum 23 years of post-qualification experience in surgical gastroenterology Skills & Aributes • Strong surgical and endoscopic expertise
