Chartered Accountant Firm Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Junior or Semi-Senior Accountant. This role is ideal for candidates who have demonstrated a strong foundation in accounting principles through professional examination qualifications or relevant work experience. The position offers significant exposure to various facets of public accounting, including audit, taxation, and compliance. Prerequisites (Mandatory) Candidates must meet at least one of the following criteria: CA PE II/Intermediate Qualified: Successful completion of the Chartered Accountancy (CA) PE II or Intermediate/Inter examination conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). ICWAI/CMA Final Qualified: Successful completion of the Final examination of the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICWAI/CMA). Knowledge and Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive, relevant experience in an accounting or finance role, preferably within a Chartered Accountant firm, demonstrating a strong grasp of Indian accounting standards, taxation (direct and indirect), and audit procedures. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to: Statutory and Tax Audits: Assisting in the planning, execution, and finalization of statutory and internal audits for diverse clients across various industries, ensuring compliance with relevant auditing standards. Tax Compliance: Preparing and filing Goods and Services Tax (GST) returns, Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) returns, and assisting with the preparation of corporate and individual Income Tax returns. Bookkeeping and Finalization: Managing and supervising client bookkeeping, preparing ledger scrutiny, trial balances, and drafting financial statements in accordance with Indian GAAP/Ind AS. Client Communication: Maintaining professional communication with clients to gather necessary information, clarify data, and address queries. Regulatory Filings: Assisting with various corporate and regulatory filings with the Registrar of Companies (ROC) and other government bodies. Team Collaboration: Working effectively with team members and reporting to seniors/managers on project status and challenges. Required Skills & Competencies Technical Proficiency: Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards (AS) /Indian Accounting Standards ( Ind AS ), Income Tax Act, and GST laws. Software Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Tally, SAP ) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel . Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and meticulousness in handling financial data and documentation. Analytical Ability: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret financial data and resolve discrepancies. Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
