What You'll Do

Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing team of Electrical Engineers, Lead Engineers, and Consultants engaged in electrical design, product engineering, and documentation for Etch productsOversee the design, development, enhancement, and evaluation of complex subsystems comprising electrical, electromechanical, RF, and electronic componentsdown to discrete circuit and component-level selectionSpearhead talent acquisition, onboarding, training, and continuous capability development through coaching, mentoring, and structured skill-building initiativesFoster a culture of excellence by managing employee performance, recognizing achievements, and implementing retention strategies for top talentDefine and drive design strategies, analyse system performance,, provide technical guidance to team members in interpreting design intent, selecting critical OEM components that meet functional and reliability requirementsOwn and deliver high-quality Electrical and RF system designs and documentation, ensuring adherence to project timelines and performance expectationsEnsure all engineering documentation complies with global industry standards, internal Lam standards, and best engineering practicesCollaborate effectively with Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Managers across India and the U.S., supporting multiple Lam Product Groups to achieve shared goals and deliverables.

As a Electrical Manager at Lam, you will operate on cutting-edge technology, harnessing atomic precision, material science, and surface engineering to push technical boundaries. Your role involves defining equipment hardware to meet processing requirements, developing new and advanced design methodogies, evaluating test data, and coordinating design requirements to ensure compatibility of processing methods. Your expertise and knowledge play a crucial role to our customers success, making an impact on the next generation of semiconductor breakthroughs.

Who We're Looking For

Years of Experience: Minimum 14 years of experience and up to 18 years
Educational qualification: Bachelor / Master's in Electrical Engineering - post graduate degree preferredOver 8 years of experience in capital equipment or related industries such as Semiconductor, Medical Devices, Automotive, or Aerospace, including 46 years of proven leadership managing direct reportsElectrical Engineers, Lead Engineers, and Subject Matter Expertsacross multiple programs and projectsDemonstrated ability to lead decisively and solve complex problems even in the absence of complete or accurate data. Experienced in operating within a matrix organization and collaborating across cross-disciplinary teamsStrong hands-on expertise in the design, control, and productization of complex equipment and machinery. Well-versed in Electrical Engineering principles, Electromechanical systems, and knowledgeable in RF systemsProven leadership in departmental planning, capability development, strategic execution, and innovation. Successfully managed teams of 1015 Electrical Engineers, driving departmental goals, product roadmaps, performance management and development (PMD), situational leadership, and team motivation to achieve business outcomesSkilled in leading and conducting design reviews, securing stakeholder approvals, and guiding implementation. Actively participates in reviewing and approving designs executed by team members and peers

Preferred Qualifications

Contributed to resolving customer escalations and field issues through effective troubleshooting, containment actions, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective measures supported by detailed failure analysis reportsExperienced in working within a matrix organization, collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams including mechanical, electromechanical, software, supply chain, and manufacturing engineering to drive major project outcomesProficient in component selection, experimental setup, and testing in laboratory environments, with a strong emphasis on establishing and maintaining safe engineering practicesWell-versed in global standards and compliance requirements such as SEMI, SEMI S2/S22, NFPA 79, NEC, UL, IEC, and IEEESolid understanding of systems engineering principles with applied knowledge in Electrical & Electronics and RF systemsFamiliar with semiconductor and wafer fabrication equipment industry processes, technologies, and operational requirementsSkilled in engineering change management, project execution, and proficient in electrical CAD tools including PCAD, ORCAD, ZUKEN, or equivalent platforms used in electrical design
