Job Summary:

Responsible for supervising yard and production operations, including handling of raw materials and finished goods, monitoring shift production activities, manpower allocation, and ensuring adherence to production, safety, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:1️ Production & Yard Supervision

• Supervise daily yard and production operations — raw material feeding, rolling, cutting, and dispatch.
• Monitor production parameters, line efficiency, and process performance.
• Ensure smooth flow of materials from stores to production and from production to dispatch.
• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams for timely support and issue resolution.

2️ Material Handling & Coordination

• Oversee loading/unloading of materials, billet stacking, coil movement, and product shifting using cranes or forklifts.
• Maintain material traceability (heat number / batch number).
• Coordinate with the logistics and dispatch department for outgoing finished goods.

3️ Shift Management

• Manage 12-hour shifts and ensure manpower allocation for continuous operations.
• Supervise helpers, operators, and contract labour during the shift.
• Maintain shift attendance, daily activity reports, and production logs.

4️ Quality & Safety

• Ensure production is carried out as per standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Monitor and minimize rejection, rework, and wastage.
• Implement and maintain 5S and safety practices across the yard and production area.
• Conduct toolbox talks and enforce PPE compliance.

5️ Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare shift production reports, downtime analysis, and material consumption records.
• Coordinate with planning and quality teams for production targets and delivery schedules.
• Support internal and external audits as required.

Qualification & Experience:

• Education: Diploma / ITI / B.Tech in Mechanical / Metallurgy / Production Engineering
• Experience: 2-3 Years
• Software Skills: MS Excel, ERP / SAP (basic knowledge), Report documentation
