You will be responsible for inspecting guest rooms, public areas, pool, etc. after they have been cleaned by Housekeepers to ensure quality standards are met. Your duties will include running sold room reports, verifying room status, identifying any discrepant rooms, prioritizing room cleaning, and updating the status of departing guest rooms. You will assist Housekeeping management in overseeing daily activities and act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments. Additionally, you will document and resolve issues with discrepant rooms with the Front Desk, prepare and communicate changes in room assignments, and ensure issues are communicated to the next shift. Completing required paperwork will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will support management in various HR functions such as hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees. It is essential to adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures, report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete necessary safety training and certifications. Maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and providing excellent guest service according to company standards will be key aspects of your role. Effective communication with colleagues, developing positive working relationships, and ensuring quality expectations and standards are met are crucial for success. Physical tasks may include moving, lifting, carrying objects of varying weights, pushing and pulling housekeeping carts, and working on uneven surfaces. You will also be required to reach, bend, twist, stand, sit, kneel, and walk for extended periods, as well as manipulate objects and use computer systems for work-related information. Ideally, you should possess a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and have at least 1 year of related work experience, including 1 year of supervisory experience. This role is critical for supervising daily operations, leading a skilled team, developing preventative strategies , and ensuring the optimal performance and safety of all chemical plant equipment. Key Responsibilities: Supervising Maintenance Activities: Overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance department, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance and repair work. Managing a Team: Leading, training , and mentoring a team of maintenance technicians, engineers, and other staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Ensuring Safety and Compliance: Implementing and enforcing safety procedures and regulations related to maintenance activities, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees and compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO, OSHA). Documentation and Reporting: Maintaining accurate maintenance records, generating reports on maintenance activities, and analyzing data to identify areas for improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is typically required. Skills & Requirements: Significant experience in plant maintenance, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment, with experience in a managerial or supervisory role. Strong knowledge of chemical plant equipment, maintenance practices, and safety regulations. Excellent leadership , communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex maintenance issues. Thorough understanding of safety regulations and procedures related to chemical plant maintenance. Experience in developing and managing maintenance budgets. Familiarity with local regulations and safety standards applicable to chemical plants in India. A good understanding of the specific equipment and processes used in the local chemical industry. Ability to work effectively with local vendors and suppliers. A proven track record of managing maintenance activities in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
