JD as detailed below, and send it out for potential candidates Title: Quality Manager – Sheet Metal (Industrial Machinery; Elevators/Escalators a Plus) About the Role: We are seeking a Quality Manager to lead plant, supplier, and customer quality for our sheet-metal–based manufacturing operations. You will own the QMS (ISO 9001), drive capability on laser/punching/bending/welding/powder-coating processes, manage APQP/PPAP for new programs, and ensure compliance to industrial machinery requirements. Experience with elevator/escalator components and standards (EN 81-20/50, ASME A17.1) is highly desirable. Responsibilities: • Lead QMS, internal/process/product audits, and management reviews. • Drive APQP/PPAP, PFMEA, MSA, Control Plans; approve FAIs and capability studies. • Implement SPC, visual standards, and robust inspection methods across sheet-metal lines. • Lead customer quality: manage complaints, 8D, and customer audits. • Build and manage supplier quality: qualifications, process audits, incoming quality, and PPAP. • Reduce COPQ via Lean/Six Sigma; coach problem solving across functions. • Lead and develop the quality team; manage metrology assets and calibration. • Maintain dashboards and quality KPIs; ensure documentation and traceability. Qualifications: • B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical/Production/Industrial) with 10+ years in sheet-metal manufacturing quality. • Mastery of APQP/PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, GD&T, and 8D. • Experience with welding & coating quality; CMM, gauges, and cosmetic standards. • Strong stakeholder management; hands-on, shop-floor oriented leadership. • Nice to have: Six Sigma GB/BB; ISO 9001 Lead Auditor; elevator/escalator standards exposure.
