Ltd. is a fast-growing agri-business enterprise engaged in cultivation, post-harvest management, and processing of high-quality vegetables. With advanced IQF (Individually Quick Frozen) technology, we cater to both domestic and international food service and retail markets. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced and entrepreneurial General Manager to lead the entire operations of our IQF processing facility. This role requires strong command over production, food safety, maintenance, procurement, and sales strategy. The GM will oversee plant efficiency, supply chain coordination, and market expansion to ensure profitability and growth. Key Responsibilities 1. Operations & Production Lead daily operations of the IQF plant including sorting, blanching, freezing, packing, and cold storage. Plan and monitor production targets while ensuring product quality, hygiene, and safety standards. Ensure adherence to GMP, HACCP, and FSSC 22000 guidelines. 2. Procurement & Supply Chain Develop and execute sourcing plans for fresh produce and packaging materials in coordination with farm procurement teams. Establish vendor relationships and monitor quality, cost, and delivery performance. Forecast raw material requirements based on seasonal cycles and sales projections. 3. Sales & Business Development Collaborate with sales teams to define product strategy, pricing, and channel targets. Participate in domestic and export sales meetings, institutional tie-ups, and market visits. Track product movement, customer satisfaction, and maintain strong relationships with HORECA, distributors, and retail chains. Identify new market opportunities and contribute to brand positioning in frozen vegetable segment. 4. Plant Administration & Team Leadership Lead a multidisciplinary team of production, QA, maintenance, and logistics staff. Define KPIs, training programs, and performance evaluations. Ensure compliance with labor laws, safety norms, and company policies. 5. Maintenance & Technical Oversight Oversee the operation and preventive maintenance of IQF equipment, ammonia refrigeration systems, SCADA/PLC setups, and utilities. Minimize downtime and optimize equipment efficiency. 6. Financial Planning & MIS Prepare budgets, monitor cost centers, and manage plant-level profitability. Analyze monthly performance reports and suggest corrective actions. Qualifications Educational Background: B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology / Mechanical / Electrical / Agri Engineering or equivalent. MBA in Operations / Agri-Business / Marketing (preferred). Experience Required: 10+ years in food processing, especially frozen vegetables or fruits. Minimum 5 years in a senior management role overseeing both operations and commercial functions (procurement/sales). Experience in IQF processing and cold chain logistics is mandatory . Key Skills: Cross-functional leadership and strategic decision-making. Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and customer relationship skills. Proficiency in ERP systems, plant automation, and MIS reporting. Deep understanding of food safety compliance, market dynamics, and production planning.
