A Production Manager in the soapstone industry is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process, from raw material procurement to finished product delivery, ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety. Key Resposibilities- Develop and implement production plans to meet targets and timelines, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to schedules. Lead, train, and motivate production staff, managing workflow, and addressing issues promptly. Monitoring mill performance, identifying issues, and implementing corrective actions. Manage raw material inventory, coordinate with suppliers, ensure adequate workforce and equipment Identify and implement process improvements to reduce costs and downtime, and track production KPIs and performance reports. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote a safe working environment, and enforce health and safety precautions. Liaise with other departments, including engineering, logistics, and quality assurance, to align on goals and timelines. Report production status and issues to upper management, prepare budgets and forecasts, and manage production costs.
