CHIEF /HEAD OF QA ELECTRICAL B Fouress Company in Hoskote, Bangalore, manufactures turbines and installs electro-mechanical equipment for small hydro power plants in India and overseas. For more information, visit www.bflhydro.com. Qualifications & Experience: Qualification: BE Electrical & Electronics with 18 to 25 years of experience in a heavy engineering company. Roles and Responsibilities:- The chief of QA is responsible for translating the companies vision and long term goals through systems and process that crafts for every functions. The person in this position is expected to implement an assurance system that proactively identifies problem and implements preventive measures, assures the manufacturing, supply chain and internal processes are robust. He is the custodian of the companies quality measurement system. He must ensure quality policies, plans and objectives are met and result in continuous improvement in the performance of all activities through interactions with other functional managers and engineers. Strategic Planning Create the quality strategy and plans based on corporate goals. Build a system of collecting data on failures and conducting root cause analysis based on the same to drive defects to the lowest achievable levels Responsible for manpower planning based on the annual business plan Quality Standards & Accrediations Facilitate development, implementation of quality systems to meet ISO 9001 requirements Maintain the quality system and continuously improve the performance of departmental / cross-functional processes through the involvement of employees Acquire relevant accreditations and certifications as planned; ensure timely renewals. Quality Adherence Institute robust inspection and feedback processes to minimize production loss and delays Establish strong audit routines to minimize deviations across all processes Ensure all finished assemblies meet agreed quality standards Ensure all BO mechanical &electrical assemblies meet agreed quality standards. Operations Engage and facilitate the approval of new suppliers and agencies to ensure smooth operations. Facilitate the customer complaint review activity and ensure improvements. Continuous Improvement Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities in products and processes Drive continuous improvement programs including quality training and internal initiatives to reduce cost of quality Support development & implementation of new processes.
