Position : Subject Matter Expert (SME) – English Grades : Primary & Middle School (Classes 1 to 8) Curriculum : CBSE Location : Hi-Tech City, Hyderabad Type : Full-Time About the Role: We are seeking a dynamic and experienced English Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, development, and enhancement of English curriculum and teaching practices for grades 1–8 under the CBSE framework. The SME will work closely with academic coordinators, teachers, and school leaders to ensure high-quality content delivery and student engagement. Key Responsibilities: Develop, review, and upgrade English curriculum and learning materials in line with CBSE standards. Design lesson plans, worksheets, and assessments tailored for Primary and Middle school levels. Provide academic support and mentorship to English teachers through regular training, feedback, and classroom observations. Integrate creative pedagogies, reading programs, and language development activities. Monitor learning outcomes and ensure alignment with NEP guidelines and CBSE objectives. Research and incorporate best practices in English language teaching and learning. Collaborate with school management and academic heads to implement effective teaching strategies. Support in the design of language enhancement programs, Olympiads, and other enrichment activities. Qualifications & Skills: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in English/Literature/Education (B.Ed. mandatory). Minimum 5+ years of teaching or academic experience, preferably as an HOD/SME/Coordinator. Strong knowledge of CBSE English curriculum (Primary and Middle levels). Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience in instructional design, teacher training, and academic audits is preferred. Passionate about children’s education, literacy development, and creative teaching. Preferred Attributes: Exposure to NEP-aligned pedagogical practices. Comfortable using EdTech tools and digital content platforms. Strong leadership, planning, and mentoring abilities.
