Subject Matter Expert – English

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Subject Matter Expert (SME) – English to join our content development team. The ideal candidate will have a strong command of English grammar, vocabulary, comprehension, and writing skills, along with a deep understanding of exam patterns for various government competitive exams such as Banking, SSC, UPSC, Railways, etc.

This is a full-time, in-house position based at our office in ECR, Pondicherry, and is best suited for candidates residing in or around Pondicherry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality English content such as grammar rules, reading comprehension passages, vocabulary quizzes, error spotting, cloze tests, para jumbles, etc.
• Create mock test questions and detailed explanations aligned with the latest exam patterns
• Review and validate content for accuracy, clarity, and relevancy
• Research and stay updated with exam trends, syllabus changes, and question patterns
• Collaborate with the content and editorial teams for final content approval
• Assist in designing structured learning plans and video script development

Eligibility Criteria:

• Qualification: MA in English / Journalism / related field
• Strong grasp of English grammar, vocabulary, and comprehension skills
• Excellent writing and proofreading abilities
• Prior experience in teaching or content development for competitive exams is a plus
• Additional Benefit: Candidates preparing for government exams (Banking/SSC/UPSC, etc.) will be given preference
• Mandatory: Must be a resident of Pondicherry (In-house role – not remote)

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
