Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Structural Inspection Engineer to lead and coordinate both on-site inspections and back-office reporting activities. The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding teams in the field, performing visual inspections of steel structures, and compiling comprehensive technical documentation and reports. Key Responsibilities FIELDWORK (On-Site) Provide technical and administrative guidance to field teams during on-site inspections. Review and interpret architectural and structural drawings provided by the client. Conduct thorough visual inspections of steel structures to assess their condition. Coordinate with field team members to monitor work progress and resolve issues. Accurately collect and document structural data using approved checklists. Attend and comply with plant-specific safety training sessions conducted by the client. BACK-OFFICE WORK Supervise the preparation of datasheets and checklists for all inspected structures. Oversee the drafting of comprehensive reports including Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) inferences. Develop inspection conclusions with recommendations for suitable, cost-effective repair or strengthening methodologies. Ensure preparation of detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ). Manage the creation of distress mapping drawings highlighting observed defects or anomalies. Compile final reports incorporating all relevant documents including drawings, BOQ, NDT results, and technical specifications. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering. Proven experience in structural inspection and report preparation. Familiarity with steel structures and associated inspection methodologies. Strong understanding of NDT techniques and structural distress evaluation. Excellent coordination, communication, and team management skills. Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings and preparing BOQs.
