Structural Engineer

We are a Structural Engineering firm looking to grow and expand our Engineering team. We work on projects located in California and the Ideal candidate should sound knowledge in Structural engineering and should be able to understand the requirement, set up the projects, manage and run project as the manager.

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Preparation designs calculation using American standards. Contribute to appropriate studies, analyses and recommend actions;
• A working knowledge of the fundamental requirements of structural engineering.
• Structural design of Wood Structures and Steel Structures.
• Managing the team of engineers to assign and follow up work based on schedule
• Working closely with technicians on CAD / Revit drawings
• Delivering excellent project work within agreed deadlines and within budget
• Ensuring appropriate service/design decisions are met
• Keeping senior management informed of important and relevant design decisions to make sure that the objectives of the company and the client are achieved.
• Coordinating your work with other members of the project team.

Qualifications:

Masters degree in Structural Engineering is preferred

Experience in Analysis and Design of wood structures

Good understanding of the basic structural analysis and design concepts

Proficiency in design using American codes (ASCE, NDS, ACI)

Good experience of using software like RISA, Enercalc, ETABS,

Knowledge of AutoCAD preferred
