Description
The position of Structural Engineer at our company requires overall development of Bureau Veritas (BV) services for structural design review of bulk material handling equipment such as Single Gantry Crane, double Gantry Crane, Coke and Coal Handling, Steel Melting shop, Rolling Mills Hot and Cold, and conveyor system structures. We are seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with a minimum of 9 to 10 years of expertise in designing structures, particularly in the areas of cranes and conveyor structures. Your major responsibilities will include developing a detailed methodology for the review of structural design calculations with applicable codes and standards for bulk material handling cranes/machinery. You will design and analyze bulk material handling structures, including EOT cranes and conveyor structures, to ensure optimum performance and safety. Additionally, you will oversee the review of conveyor GA and detailing of all components, design review of conveyor systems, and conduct FEA analysis of crane components using SOLIDWORKS SIMULATION. You will also be responsible for verifying motion analysis results, supporting the preparation of proposals and estimates for the Sales team, and contributing towards continuous improvements in work practices. Ensuring timely submission of deliverables to clients is essential. The position requires adherence to the Bureau Veritas Quality Assurance System, including the BV Code of Ethics and the BV Group policy. You will independently prepare excel tools for calculation reports. In terms of software skills, proficiency in FEMAP Nastran, Solid Works, STAAD Pro, and AutoCAD is required. The ideal candidate should hold a B.E/B.Tech in Civil/Mechanical Engineering with a Master's degree in Structural/Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of proven experience in structural design, focusing on Bulk Material Handling Machinery for mining and various industrial applications. Proficiency in relevant software for structural analysis and design of cranes is necessary. With 10 years of experience in Crane structure design for Bulk Material Handling mining and other industries, you should have expertise in the design and analysis of EOT cranes, mobile cranes, and tower crane structures with a capacity of 550 Tonnes. Experience in vibration analysis, seismic analysis, and complete support structure design of cranes already in service is also required. Hands-on experience with software and other tools is a plus. The ideal candidate should possess a "Go to Market" attitude with the ability to establish connections with clients at a higher level and convert contacts into business opportunities. Excellent interpersonal skills, good teamwork abilities, and the capacity to manage a team are essential qualities. A pleasing personality, good communication skills, and presentation skills are also necessary for this role.,
