Position Overview
UMAMI Bioworks is seeking a Research & Strategy Intern to support ongoing strategy and market research projects in our Bangalore, India office. The intern will work closely with our leadership team on initiatives involving market assessments, competitor analysis, and potential product development opportunities in the seafood and biotechnology sectors.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct research on industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies.
- Analyze and synthesize data from online research, scientific literature, and market reports.
- Support brainstorming and strategy sessions to assess new business opportunities.
- Assist in competitor benchmarking and identify gaps in existing solutions.
- Develop summaries, presentations, and other communication materials for internal use.
- Contribute to special projects or tasks as assigned by the leadership team.
Selection Criteria:
Education & Experience:
- Students pursuing a Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business, Biotechnology, Food Science, or related fields.
- Interest in biotechnology, food safety, sustainability, or business development.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Strong ability to gather and analyze qualitative and quantitative data
