This position is for those looking to work at the bleeding edge of next-generation AI and healthcare with hands-on experience and ownership. "AI Engineers wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Intense learning curve. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition await those who return." ~ Earnest Shackleton, Antarctic Expedition READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING You must take the interview here to be considered: https://open.storyline.care/openstory/fvhi We’re looking for an engineer who lives at the intersection of backend systems and AI orchestration , someone who can design and implement sophisticated multi-agent pipelines using frameworks like LangGraph , n8n , and the OpenAI Agent SDK . You’ll help architect the next generation of our intelligent backend where retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) , tool-using agents and agentic systems , and real-time WebSocket pipelines all come together to power our AI products. Who We’re Looking For You background will need to include: Experience with Python and async backend frameworks (FastAPI, asyncio, etc.). Strong familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, OpenAI Agent SDK , or similar orchestration tools. Experience with retrieval systems , vector databases , or LLM context management . Comfort working with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred: Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, EventBridge). Strong grounding in software design , system reliability , and testing for AI-driven systems. What You’ll Do Build and orchestrate autonomous AI agents that reason, plan, and call tools via LangGraph, OpenAI SDK, or custom logic. Design RAG pipelines (ingestion → embedding → retrieval → synthesis) optimized for multi-modal knowledge bases. Integrate agents with backend APIs, databases, and workflows (FastAPI, AWS Lambda, DynamoDB, S3, etc.). Create event-driven and streaming architectures using WebSockets and queues for real-time AI responses. Develop observability and cost tracking systems for long-running or multi-step agent processes. Collaborate with product and research teams to rapidly experiment with new AI capabilities . What you'll work on: We work at the cutting edge of AI advances across Oncology, Neurology, Pediatrics, Neonatal, Psychiatry, Primary Care, Population Health, and everywhere else. You'll work on critical projects including: Neonatology researchers building an assessment for premature babies. Jails and prisons predicting suicide, violence, addiction, and recidivism. Identifying PTSD and TBI in front line combat troops. Homeless organizations identifying people who can be helped off the street. Discovering new end points for clinical trials Oncologists predicting drug timing for cancer patients. Predicting treatment responses for psychiatry patients. Many, many more. What We Will Do We will support you with the resources, mentorship, and strategic vision necessary to excel in a fast-paced AI environment. Behavioral AI Research Engineer india 0 years None Not disclosed On-site Full Time

This position is for those looking to work at the bleeding edge of next-generation AI and healthcare with hands-on experience and ownership. "Behavioral AI Research Engineers wanted for hazardous journey. Low wages, bitter cold, long hours of complete darkness. Intense learning curve. Safe return doubtful. Honour and recognition await those who return." ~ Earnest Shackleton, Antarctic Expedition READ CAREFULLY BEFORE APPLYING You must take the interview here to be considered: https://open.storyline.care/openstory/GW8S We’re building systems that can understand people not just their words, but their states of mind . We’re looking for someone who can decode human behavior across multiple signals, voice , facial expression, micro-movement, and interaction style to help our AI interpret how people feel, react, and think. This role blends behavioral science, multimodal data analysis, and AI intuition . You’ll design frameworks for capturing emotion, engagement, and intent from raw human data, and work closely with our ML and product teams to translate those insights into intelligent systems. Who We’re Looking For You background will need to include: Experience in cognitive science, psychology, neuroscience, linguistics, or signal processing . Comfortable working with audio and video analytics (librosa, openSMILE, OpenFace, MediaPipe, Affectiva, etc.). Strong analytical and conceptual skills — able to combine data-driven and theory-driven reasoning. Experience designing or evaluating behavioral metrics (engagement, empathy, stress, tone, turn-taking). What You’ll Do Analyze vocal and facial data to identify behavioural and emotional signatures. Build mappings between low-level signals (pitch, prosody, gaze, expression dynamics, micro-movements) and higher-level states (confidence, curiosity, empathy, stress, etc.). Work with ML engineers to develop feature extraction and annotation pipelines for both voice and video streams. Research and prototype behavioural models that combine multimodal inputs — speech, facial cues, conversational rhythm. Conduct experiments and literature reviews on social signal processing, affective computing, and human-AI interaction. Help define the “behavior understanding layer” for our AI agents — the bridge between human affect and machine response.
