Job Overview This role involves creating and managing BIM models for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring seamless integration with architectural and structural designs. The BIM Engineer / BIM Modeler will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, optimize models for efficiency, and maintain high standards of documentation and quality control. Requirements - Strong understanding of BIM principles and workflows for mechanical systems. - Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP modeling. - Experience in creating shop drawings for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. - Ability to interpret and analyze mechanical design drawings and specifications. - Strong coordination and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams. - Knowledge of clash detection tools and resolution methods. - Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance. - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Key Responsibilities - BIM Development: Create and manage detailed 3D BIM models of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with project standards. - Design Coordination: Work closely with architects, engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to integrate HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems, resolve clashes, and optimize designs using clash detection tools. - System Analysis: Interpret mechanical design drawings and specifications to develop efficient BIM models, including HVAC systems, plumbing layouts, fire suppression systems, ductwork, and equipment configurations. - Model Optimization: Apply advanced BIM techniques and parametric modeling to enhance design efficiency and facilitate performance evaluations. - Documentation Management: Prepare detailed drawings, schedules, and reports derived from BIM models to support the construction, fabrication, and installation of HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems. - Quality Assurance: Conduct quality checks on BIM models to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with project requirements, implementing corrective actions where needed.
