Role OverviewWe are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Sales Manager to lead and grow our Domestic and Export business for Potato Starch, Modified Starch, Starch Derivatives, and other Food Ingredient products. The role focuses on new market development, B2B customer acquisition, brand visibility, and strategic business expansion across India and international markets. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong sales & marketing skills, technical understanding of food ingredients, and expertise in handling both domestic and export operations. 2. Key ResponsibilitiesA. Sales & Business Development (Domestic & Export)· Drive sales growth in India and International markets across FMCG, Food Processing, Snacks, Bakery, Dairy, Confectionery, Beverage, Noodle/Pasta, and allied industries. · Identify, target, and acquire new B2B customers and distributors. · Develop new application opportunities for potato starch, modified starch, and food ingredients. · Strategically expand into new geographies and new industrial segments. · Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and profitability targets. B. Key Account Management· Maintain strong relationships with existing domestic & export clients. · Ensure customer satisfaction, timely communication, and repeat business. · Work closely with procurement, R&D, QA, and production teams at customer end. · Resolve complaints, quality issues, and delivery concerns efficiently. C. Export Market Management· Identify new export markets and establish distributor/partner networks. · Manage overseas enquiries, quotations, negotiation, and global pricing strategies. · Build relationships with foreign buyers, importers, and industrial users. · Attend international food ingredient exhibitions and virtual B2B meets. D. Documentation & Compliance (Domestic + Export)· Oversee preparation of PI, CI, PL, COO, BL, COA, MSDS, phytosanitary (if applicable), and export clearance documents. · Coordinate with CHA, freight forwarders, shipping lines, and logistics partners. · For domestic dispatches: manage order processing, GST invoicing inputs, transporter coordination, and delivery tracking. · Review and submit customer questionnaires: vendor registration forms, approval documents, regulatory/compliance forms, technical sheets, etc. E. Marketing & Brand Development· Develop and execute marketing strategies to increase brand visibility. · Conduct customer presentations, product demonstrations, sampling, and trials. · Support preparation of brochures, product literature, digital content, and application notes. · Monitor global food ingredient trends and provide insights to management. F. Market Intelligence & Competition Analysis· Track competitor pricing, product developments, supply trends, and market demands. · Provide regular feedback to management for strategic decision-making. · Identify risks, opportunities, and emerging markets for starch and ingredient products. Reporting & CRM Management· Prepare weekly/monthly sales reports, pipeline updates, and customer visit summaries. · Maintain CRM/ERP entries for leads, orders, and customer history. · Analyse sales performance and forecast future demand. 3. Required Skills & QualificationsEducation· Graduate or Postgraduate in Food Technology / Chemistry / Biotechnology / Science / Business Management (preferred). · Candidates with strong B2B sales experience in food ingredients are welcome.
