Staff Software QA Engineer

Role Overview: You are a Staff QA engineer at ChargePoint, responsible for testing and automating web software features on the EV charging network. You will work closely with the development team to ensure the quality and reliability of the software under test. Key Responsibilities: - Participate in design meetings for web application projects and create test plans, test cases, and other QA documents based on software requirements - Develop, document, and maintain functional test cases, test data, data validation, and automated scripts - Collaborate with the development team to identify and prioritize test cases for UI/API automation and perform manual testing for product quality assurance - Contribute to product design discussions to ensure maintainability and testability are considered - Report defects, conduct root cause analysis of field failures, and work with the development team to resolve issues - Plan and prioritize work in coordination with the Project Manager, Test Manager, and other team members - Maintain effective relationships across all stakeholder groups Qualifications Required: - At least 8 years of experience in testing customer-facing web applications - Proficiency in UI/API Automation, particularly with Selenium - Experience with Python/Java and leading QA for testing projects - Certification in testing (CSTE/ISEB) is preferable - High energy individual with a can-do attitude and eagerness to learn new technologies - Familiarity with agile development practices and web application testing - Experience in testing and automating web applications or enterprise-level applications Location: Bangalore If your experience and skills align with the company's needs, ChargePoint will contact you directly.
