Staff Software Engineer Data Platform Team

As a member of the Data Core Apps Team at Agoda, you will be part of a skilled, driven, and diverse team dedicated to making an impact in the travel industry. Here is what you can expect in this role: Role Overview: - Work with a technology stack including Scala, Spark, Python, Hadoop, Kubeflow, SQL, S3 - Enhance scalability, stability, accuracy, speed, and efficiency of existing data systems - Design, build, test, and deploy new libraries, frameworks, or full systems while maintaining high standards of testing and code quality - Collaborate with experienced engineers and product owners to automate large-scale data management and analysis tasks Key Responsibilities: - Have 8+ years of experience in software and data engineering - Possess an expert level understanding of Apache Spark and JVM with proficiency in Java or Scala - Demonstrate experience in debugging and resolving production issues - Understand data architecture principles - Utilize SQL for data analysis - Showcase analytical problem-solving skills and experience - Exhibit systems administration skills in Linux Qualifications Required: - Experience working with Data Infrastructure or Data Platform team preferred - Familiarity with Open-source products - Exposure to big data ecosystems By joining Agoda, you will be part of a team that bridges the world through travel, fostering empathy, understanding, and happiness.
