Job Description We re looking for a Staff Android Engineer to join Procore s Documents Specifications Team . In this role, you ll collaborate closely with project stakeholders to design and build customer solution to our Documents and Specifications tools on our Android application. As a Staff Android Engineer , you ll partner with Engineer Leaders, Product Managers, Web Engineers, and iOS Engineers to build exciting new features while ensuring our app remain up to date on the start of the art technologies and in-house platform services. Use your Android, leadership, and communication skills to lead the team through successful releases while also leveling up the Android guild as a whole. This position reports into the Field Documents Specifications Engineering Manager, and will be based in our Bangalore, India office. We re looking for someone to join us immediately. What you ll do: Enable your teams to deliver complex projects quickly with high-quality bar Leverage your technical proficiency to serve as the go-to expert in your technical area Help set standards for your teams, providing technical and procedural advice, and decision-making Use a customer-centric approach to lead architectural design decisions Develop fellow teammates by conducting code reviews, providing mentorship, pairing, and training opportunities Have a significant impact that extends beyond the boundaries of your team, on projects affecting scalability, performance, and new value delivery Identify large technological issues and opportunities in your area of responsibility, and organize your teams to solve these issues What we re looking for: (6-8 bullets) Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience 7+ years of Engineering Experience (5+ years of native Android development experience with at least 2 of those years being Kotlin experience) Broad and deep understanding of Android s architectural components (Room, LiveData, Jetpack, etc.) and the MVVM architecture. Experience working with RESTful APIs using JSON.
