Job Description

Reporting To: Assistant Nursing Superintendent / Nursing Administration

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care: Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients
Monitor patient vitals and document progress and nursing observations
Administer medications, injections, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed
Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, surgeries, or procedures
Provide pre- and post-operative care as per protocols
Maintain accurate and timely nursing documentation Infection Control & Safety: Follow infection control practices (hand hygiene, PPE, sterilization)
Ensure the cleanliness of patient beds, equipment, and surroundings
Adhere to safety protocols for patient handling and emergency care
Report any untoward incidents or clinical deterioration promptly
Administrative Duties: Maintain inventory of nursing supplies and medicines
Ensure proper use and maintenance of medical equipment
Participate in audits, training, and quality improvement programs
Attend departmental meetings and follow work rosters/duty schedules

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

GNM / BSc
Nursing from a recognized institute
Registration: Must be a registered nurse with the Maharashtra Nursing Council
