Description
As a hard-working engineer joining Micron Technology's SSD Validation Engineering team, your primary role will be to ensure the timely market entry and exceptional quality of Client & Consumer SSDs. You will collaborate with various departments like R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing to develop strategies for validation work. **Key Responsibilities:** - **Technical Ownership:** - Act as the domain expert for validation, including firmware architecture, product requirements, and industry standards. - Review and enhance test plans to improve effectiveness and efficiency across the product portfolio. - Propose new validation approaches for better coverage and accuracy in testing. - **Requirements Analysis:** - Analyze product requirements for testability. - Identify appropriate testing equipment. - Provide feedback to influence product design for implementing new requirements. - **Validation Strategy:** - Define test cases to ensure compliance with system requirements. - Collaborate with product design to develop test cases aligned with firmware and hardware architecture. - Establish PASS/FAIL criteria for test cases. - **Test Implementation:** - Develop the Test Implementation Strategy and Software Architecture. - Plan and execute a test automation strategy. - Constantly enhance validation processes and methodologies. - **Test Execution:** - Prepare and format samples for validation. - Execute the Product Validation flow as per the plan. - Analyze test results and generate reports. - **Defect Management:** - Investigate and resolve failures from various validation teams and customers. - Implement steps to reproduce failures and collaborate with partner teams. **Qualifications And Skills:** - BS in an engineering discipline or equivalent. - 6+ years of validation experience. - Profound knowledge of PCIe SSDs, NAND, Memory storage hierarchy, and NVMe Protocol. - Strong Python scripting skills. - Demonstrated technical leadership experience. - Ability to analyze problems, diagnose root causes, and implement corrective actions.
