Staff CPU Power Management Firmware Developer

Role Overview: As a CPU Performance Management FW Developer at Qualcomm India Private Limited, you will be responsible for collaborating with a team to enable the power management solution for Qualcomm's custom CPUs. Your role will involve defining a standard-driven solution, implementing embedded firmware, and managing the performance of the CPU subsystem. Additionally, you will work on characterizing and tuning this solution for all Qualcomm SoCs utilizing custom CPUs. You will have the opportunity to engage with internal teams, third parties, and contribute to future designs. Key Responsibilities: - Drive the firmware design, implementation, and verification in pre-silicon and post-silicon environments. - Assist in defining CPU Performance Management solutions for future generations of Qualcomm CPUs. - Engage with open source communities to contribute support for processor architectures, device drivers, and firmware features. - Identify skills requirements, participate in hiring engineers, and collaborate with other teams on platform bring-up/debug/diags, firmware lifecycle, etc. Qualification Required: - BS/MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 8 to 12 years of experience in embedded firmware development. - Skills in DVFS, DCVS, SCMI, CPPC. - Proficient in writing and debugging C and assembly. - Experience in driver development in RTOS or OS Kernel environments. - Development experience with embedded OSes such as Zephyr, eCos, uC/OS, or FreeRTOS. - Experience in developing for pre-silicon environments, including simulators and FPGA emulation. - Experience in developing, characterizing, and tuning performance management solutions for an SoC subsystem will be advantageous. - Familiarity with ARM v8 architecture. Development experience for an ARMv8 platform is a plus.
