Staff CPU Power Management Firmware Developer

You will be working at Qualcomm India Private Limited as a CPU Performance Management FW Developer in the Engineering Group, specifically in the Software Engineering domain. Your primary responsibility will involve collaborating with a team to enable power management solutions for Qualcomm's custom CPUs, defining standard-driven solutions, implementing embedded firmware, and managing the performance of the CPU subsystem. Additionally, you will work on characterizing and tuning solutions for all Qualcomm SoCs using custom CPUs, engaging with hardware power management and firmware development teams, and contributing to future designs by providing input to SoC and platform architects. Your role will require you to design, implement, and verify firmware in both pre-silicon and post-silicon environments, define CPU Performance Management solutions, engage with open-source communities, and assist in hiring engineers. The preferred qualifications include a BS/MS in Electrical, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science with 8 to 12 years of experience in embedded firmware development. You should be skilled in DVFS, DCVS, SCMI, CPPC, proficient in writing and debugging C and assembly, have driver development experience in RTOS or OS Kernel environments, and be familiar with ARM v8 architecture. In terms of physical requirements, you may need to transport between offices, buildings, and campuses, install equipment up to 5 lbs, perform tasks at various heights, monitor computers and test equipment for extended periods, and engage in continuous communication with colleagues, customers, and vendors.
