We are seeking a skilled and passionate South Indian Chef to join our culinary team. The chef will be responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting authentic South Indian dishes with consistency and high quality. This role requires expertise in regional cuisines such as Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, and Telangana, with a focus on maintaining authenticity while adapting to modern dining expectations. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare, and execute authentic South Indian breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus (e.g., dosa, idli, vada, sambar, rasam, appam, Kerala curries, biryanis, chutneys, etc.). Ensure consistency, taste, and presentation of dishes at all times. Develop specialty menus and seasonal offerings to enhance customer experience. Manage kitchen operations for South Indian cuisine section, including mise-en-place, cooking, and plating. Monitor food quality, hygiene, and safety standards in line with FSSAI / HACCP guidelines. Train and guide junior chefs, cooks, and kitchen helpers on South Indian recipes and techniques. Maintain stock levels of ingredients, control wastage, and ensure cost-effective kitchen operations. Handle customer feedback and adapt dishes to meet guest preferences when required. In-depth knowledge of traditional recipes, spices, and cooking methods. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen. Familiarity with food hygiene, sanitation, and safety regulations. Leadership skills to manage and train kitchen staff. Flexibility to work in shifts, including early mornings for breakfast service. Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years of experience in South Indian cuisine. Experience in hotels, restaurants, or catering kitchens with South Indian offerings. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
