Staad Pro - Steel Structure Engineering

As a Steel Structure Engineer, you will be responsible for the complete design and engineering of large and complex EHV/HV substation projects, particularly Gas-Insulated Substations. Your role will involve analyzing GIS layouts, making suggestions for compensation element placement on GIS substations, and reviewing tender specifications to ensure compliance with design instructions. You will work closely with various departments including sales, project management, project engineering, and customers to elaborate on project requirements based on current standards. Additionally, you will initiate supply chain management processes for the creation and production of steel structures and frameworks. Your expertise in Load Combination and Analysis using Staad Pro Software will be crucial in generating foundation load reports for both indoor and outdoor GIS substations. In this role, you will be responsible for creating steel structure drawings according to relevant standards and integrating steel structure models into GIS models. You will also prepare civil drawings for subcontractors, including steel structure foundation markings, and create order Bills of Materials (BOM) and documents in SAP. Your support to the site installation team on technical issues will be essential, as well as your responsibility for managing interfaces between buildings, steel structures, and GIS components. You will actively participate in the development of instructions, templates, checklists, and tools for construction information. To be successful in this role, you should have a minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in Steel Structure Engineering with a bachelor's degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering. Knowledge of relevant steel structure standards such as ACI, ASCE, ASTM, AISC, and ANSI is required. Proficiency in English and additional languages is preferred, along with strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills. Experience in Staad Pro Software is necessary, and familiarity with Tekla Structures or AutoCAD Software is an added advantage.
