To decide on the treatment plan of Critically Ill patients admitted to the hospital. Should have a daily round of all patients admitted to the ICU. Should decide on the suitability of admission of a patient in ICU. Should decide on the readiness of a patient to be shifted out of ICU. Co-ordinate with the Primary\/Secondary consultant and patients relatives regarding the condition of the patient. They should be competent for handling all emergencies. Should be alert and attend Code Blue call from any department \/ ward. Should be triaging the patients with respect to need of ICU stay. To attend all the patients daily. To play a key role in design, maintenance and up gradation of ICU. To conduct various training programmes of Junior Medical Staff and Nursing Staff.
Performs and interprets electro Cardiography, Electrocardiograms and other diagnostic tests. Helps doctors diagnose blood vessel and heart problems. Ensures all tools and equipment are in good condition and stocks supplies. Follows all healthcare facility policies and procedures. Review the patient records prior to examination and obtain health history from the patient.
