Job Title: ICU RMO Doctor (MBBS/BAMS) Experience: Minimum 3 years Qualifications: MBBS or BAMS Degree Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU RMO (Resident Medical Officer) to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate should possess an MBBS or BAMS degree and have at least 4 years of hands-on experience in managing critical care patients. This role demands proficiency in handling acute medical conditions, stabilizing patients in emergency situations, and providing comprehensive care in an ICU setting. The successful candidate will work closely with consultants, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients. Key Responsibilities: Patient Care Management: Monitor and manage critically ill patients admitted to the ICU, ensuring continuous, round-the-clock care. Administer medications, fluids, and other treatments as prescribed by senior doctors or specialists. Interpret diagnostic tests and assist in formulating appropriate treatment plans. Perform routine and emergency procedures (e.g., intubations, IV insertions, catheterizations) as required. Provide ventilator support, if trained and authorized, and adjust settings as needed based on patient condition. Manage and monitor life-support systems and intervene during crises. Shift 12 hours / 24hrs Clinical Assessment & Diagnosis: Perform regular clinical assessments to evaluate the condition of ICU patients. Review patient history, diagnose medical conditions, and initiate treatment accordingly. Identify and treat complications associated with critical illness and ICU admission. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with ICU consultants, specialists, and multidisciplinary teams to plan and execute patient care. Report patient status to senior medical staff during shifts and handover patient information accurately. Maintain clear and concise documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and outcomes. Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergencies (cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, etc.) and initiate life-saving measures. Assist in code blue situations and other medical emergencies requiring critical care. Patient and Family Support: Communicate effectively with patients' families, providing them with regular updates on patient conditions. Explain complex medical issues in simple terms to help families understand the situation and treatment options. Administrative Duties: Maintain patient records, prescriptions, and medical charts in accordance with hospital protocols. Participate in ICU rounds, meetings, and training sessions as required. Help maintain inventory and ensure timely supply of necessary medical equipment and drugs. Required Qualifications & Experience: MBBS or BAMS Degree from a recognized institution. Minimum 3 years of experience working in a hospital ICU or critical care setting. In-depth understanding of critical care protocols, life support equipment, and medical procedures. Strong diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills. Proficiency in managing ventilators, invasive monitoring techniques, and life-saving interventions. Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) preferred. Ability to work under pressure in fast-paced, high-stress environments. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams. Desired Skills: Familiarity with traditional medicine practices (for BAMS graduates) and their integration into modern ICU care. Knowledge of the latest advances in ICU medicine and technology. Strong problem-solving skills with a hands-on approach to patient care. Compassionate, empathetic, and patient-focused care delivery. Ability to work effectively in rotating shifts, including nights and weekends.
