Job Summary: The Accountant is responsible for managing the financial transactions of the jewellery showroom, ensuring accuracy in billing, cash handling, stock valuation, and statutory compliance. The role involves maintaining records, reconciling accounts, preparing reports, and coordinating with the head office for audits and financial reviews. Key Roles & Responsibilities:1. Accounting & Bookkeeping: Record all day-to-day financial transactions in accounting software (Tally / ERP). Maintain purchase, sales, and expense ledgers. Prepare daily sales and cash reports. Verify vouchers, invoices, and receipts for accuracy. 2. Cash & Bank Management: Handle daily cash and bank deposits. Reconcile showroom cash, credit card, UPI, and bank transactions. Ensure timely deposit of daily collections to the bank. 3. Stock & Inventory Accounting: Maintain gold, silver, diamond, and other jewellery stock records. Coordinate with the store team for physical stock verification. Record stock transfers, purchases, and sales accurately. 4. Taxation & Compliance: Prepare and maintain GST records, sales returns, and purchase registers. Assist in monthly GST filing, TDS, and other statutory returns. Ensure compliance with accounting and audit requirements. 5. Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly financial reports. Support management in cost control and profitability analysis. Prepare data for internal and external audits. 6. Coordination: Liaise with auditors, vendors, and the head office accounts team. Support the showroom manager with financial insights and documentation. Skills & Competencies Required: Strong knowledge of Tally ERP / Accounting Software Good understanding of GST, TDS, and audit procedures Accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in MS Excel and report preparation Integrity and confidentiality in handling financial data Qualifications & Experience: Education: B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent Experience: 2–5 years in accounting; experience in retail jewellery preferred Languages: English, Tamil / Telugu / Hindi (as per location) Work Schedule: 6-day working week (weekend shift as per showroom schedule) Working Hours: As per showroom operational timings Salary Range: Based on experience and company norms Job Type: Full-time Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month Benefits: Food provided Provident Fund Work Location: In person
