Role Overview: We are looking for an experienced Industrial Engineer (IE) with a successful background in garment manufacturing, preferably knits, to join our team. The IE will be essential in boosting productivity, streamlining processes, establishing effective production systems, and ensuring cost efficiency while upholding international quality standards. Roles and Responsibilities : Develop, implement, and maintain SMV (Standard Minute Value) for styles across operations. Conduct time & motion studies to improve efficiency in sewing, finishing, and packing lines. Prepare capacity studies and line balancing plans to optimize manpower and machine utilization. Work closely with production, merchandising, and quality teams to ensure bulk execution. Drive lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement projects. Monitor KPIs (efficiency, productivity, DHU, on-time delivery) and suggest corrective actions. Monitor and improve MMR (Man–Machine Ratio) to ensure better productivity and cost efficiency. Standardize work methods and ensure adherence to best practices in garment engineering. Provide training to supervisors and operators on improving efficiency and reducing bottlenecks. Desired Candidate Profile: B.Tech / Diploma in Textile Technology, Industrial Engineering, or any related course 5–10 years of hands-on experience as an IE in a garment manufacturing unit (knits preferred). Strong expertise in time study, work study, SMV, and capacity planning. Experience in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Six Sigma is a plus. Good analytical skills with strong proficiency in Excel and production monitoring tools/software. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
