Company Description The Sri Lanka Medical Council, established in 1927, serves as the statutory authority for regulating the medical profession in Sri Lanka. Operating under the Medical Ordinance, the Council ensures the quality, ethics, and standards of medical and allied health practices. The Council shares verified information with medical practitioners, allied health professionals, students, and the public through a central platform, including updates on registration processes, examinations, disciplinary actions, and regulatory matters. Role Description This is a full-time on-site role for a Staff Writer located in Tiruppur. The Staff Writer will be responsible for creating and editing various content, including press releases, reports, policy documents, and public awareness materials. Daily tasks include conducting research, proofreading, ensuring clarity and accuracy, and collaborating with other departments to gather relevant information. The Staff Writer will also attend Council meetings to document and disseminate decisions and updates. Qualifications Writing, research, and proofreading skills Experience in creating policy documents, reports, and public awareness materials Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to collaborate effectively with different departments Strong attention to detail and accuracy Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare regulations is a plus Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
