The Government Sales Manager is responsible for leading strategic sales initiatives within government agencies. This role involves developing and maintaining relationships with key decision-makers, understanding government procurement processes, and driving revenue growth through effective sales strategies tailored to the public sector. Duties and Responsibilities 1. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets in the government sector. 2. Identify and pursue new business opportunities within various government agencies. 3. Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials and stakeholders. 4. Conduct market research to understand the needs and challenges of government clients. 5. Prepare and deliver presentations and proposals to government entities. 6. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure compliance with government regulations and procurement processes. 7. Monitor and analyse sales performance metrics, adjusting strategies as necessary. 8. Stay informed about changes in government policies and funding that may impact sales. Education and Experience: 1. Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is required. 2. Having worked though various government portals such as GEM, Nprocure, Eprocure etc 3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with a focus on government or public sector sales, is preferred. 4. Proven track record of successfully closing sales in a government context is essential. 5. Having very good contacts in different department of state central &PSU organization.
