Sr Technical Lead Manual + Automation

As a Senior Technical Lead for gaming content at Aristocrat, your primary responsibility will be to lead data validation and testing for the QA strategy in data engineering. You will establish and lead the QA strategy for the data engineering stack, which includes pipelines, transformations, reporting, and data quality checks. Your role will involve designing and implementing test strategies for ETL pipelines, data transformations, and BI dashboards. You will be responsible for conducting both manual and automated testing for data pipelines and reports, as well as validating Looker dashboards and reports for data correctness, layout integrity, and performance. Automation of data validations using SQL and Python will be a key aspect of your duties. You will own and develop the data QA roadmap, transitioning from manual testing practices to full automation and CI/CD integration. It will be essential for you to maintain test documentation, encompassing test plans, cases, and defect logs, for instance, in Jira. We are looking for candidates with a minimum of 5 years of experience in QA roles, focusing on data engineering and reporting environments. Proficiency in SQL for querying and validating large datasets, as well as Python, is required. Experience in testing Looker reports and dashboards (or similar tools like Tableau/Power BI) is highly desirable. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are essential qualities.
