Description
As a Senior Network Engineer - Operations at Moody's, you will be a part of the Technology Services Group (TSG) team, focusing on supporting the Enterprise network and ensuring faster resolution of network-related incidents or tickets. Your role will involve configuring and installing various network devices and services, performing network maintenance and upgrades, monitoring system performance, providing support and troubleshooting, implementing security measures, and collaborating with vendors and IT personnel for effective problem resolution. Key Responsibilities: - Configure and install network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, and QoS services - Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including patches, hot fixes, and security configurations - Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and capacity planning - Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve network issues - Work within established configuration and change management policies for network infrastructure changes - Implement security tools, policies, and procedures in coordination with the security team - Conduct system audits, security assessments, and participate in on-call rotations - Lead service recovery from major incidents, identify root causes, and implement permanent solutions - Develop and maintain documentation for application configurations, processes, and procedures - Provide expert technical support, training to end-users, and collaborate with stakeholders for ITIL process compliance - Drive continuous improvement through automation and orchestration, optimizing performance, reliability, and cost Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in global network operations - Solid knowledge of BGP peering, routing/switching, MPLS, ISIS, OSPF - Understanding of core Networking concepts and network security principles - Experience with network troubleshooting tools and ITSM systems - CCNP or higher certification preferred - Hands-on experience with monitoring and network diagnostic tools - Proficiency in OSI or TCP/IP model, networking protocols, and security practices - Exceptional problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and written/verbal communication skills About Moody's: Moody's is a global integrated risk assessment firm that empowers organizations to make informed decisions.
