Description
We are looking for Strategic Sourcing Manager who will belocated in Ireland or Asia. This position will be report to the GlobalSourcing Director located in Ireland. This role provides dedicatedleadership and direction for the comprehensive sourcing function for a siteresponsible for procuring, storage, kitting and distribution of parts/assemblies for a product line. This person will lead this site to develop sourcingstrategies aligned with business and implement sourcing strategies to achievelowest total costs, market competitiveness, effective asset management, qualityimprovement, on-time delivery, improved cycle time and early supplierinvolvement in product development Key Responsibilities: Engage with technology, marketing and Integrated Supply Chain to understand and develop plans to support business goals per 5-year business plans and Annual Operating Plan for the product line assigned. Also, coordinate with technology for technology resources for productivity and dual sourcing projects Develop plans to meet Annual Operation Plan goals which includes productivity, lead-time reductions, working capital improvement, quality, supplier rationalization and delivery performance Contracts negotiations i.e. Long-Term supply Agreements, Vendor Managed Inventory Agreements, NDA s, LOI s etc . Provide inputs to Global Commodities on the respective product/ business strategies and ensure Site Sourcing Strategies and Global Commodity Strategies are coordinated and linked with the business Through the analysis of current spend, processes and practices, develop and deploy direct material sourcing strategy for a product line that supports the goals of the business units including product cost competitiveness, productivity, lean supply chain, material replenishment, supplier consolidation, process standardization, transaction cost removal, and process digitization that meets the annual operating plan Become expert with economic, competitive and supply base knowledge for products assigned and procured. Will understand the supply base of competitors. Will possess the knowledge of best-in-region suppliers for each commodity Deploy processes that are consistent with the identified strategy through teaming with the other Global Sourcing Leaders Leads Sourcing Team to identify and select approved suppliers capable of providing parts and materials that meet established requirements Drive capability and performance of key suppliers to meet HPS global sourcing/ business goals on productivity, working capital, cycle time reductions, delivery and quality. Take the lead in supplier negotiations & initiatives Implement multiple tools to drive productivity & working capital improvements. Actively promote eSourcing tools to drive incremental performance and efficiencies Coordinate with COE commodity teams, Supplier Quality, NPI Sourcing and Project sourcing to support HPS global sourcing goals for the site Collaborate with NPI Sourcing for launch of new products assigned to the site and actively lead launch of new supplier based on milestones Ensure material availability from supplies based on demand. Provide future outlook on supply and take lead in resolving critical delivery issues with suppliers Communicate key issues with the Honeywell senior leadership & actions to resolve etc Play active role in resolving critical quality with Supplier Quality and Suppliers Collaborate with ISC to establish a lean and flexible supply chain based to reduce order fulfillment cycle times and improve delivery. Establish advanced material replenishment strategies i.e. Vendor Managed Inventory progams to support PFEP (Plan for Every Part) strategies Actively promote deployment of six sigma tools and methods Experience managing Contract Manufacturing Supply Base is a must. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, procurement or equivalent Extensive knowledge in global Strategic Sourcing and Procurement Additional Qualifications: Masters degree preferred CIPS and/or CPM or equivalent certification desired Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred Leadership experience in Supply Management/Sourcing/Procurement Previous experience in global high-mix manufacturing business, highly preferred Knowledge building and leading global sourcing teams with an emphasis on emerging region Demonstrated ability to manage / lead multiple projects and changing priorities Ability to work with, manage and influence all levels of Leadership Ability to make data-driven decisions Good IT skills - Microsoft office, SAP, Ariba etc.... Successful use of decision-making and analytical skills People management experience Excellent communication skills WE VALUE Some experience in procurement Working and/or Leading in Site Team Environments Project Management and/or Contract Management Experience Professional Certifications in Project/Supply Chain/ Procurement/Contract Management Team Leader experience in Supply Management / Sourcing / Procurement / Business Demonstrated Business and financial acumen Experience with SAP or site relevant ERP systems, E Sourcing Platforms, Request for Quotation Tools, Project Management Tools Experience with Six Sigma and Lean Tools Masters Degree
