SQL Test Engineer

Key Responsibilities

Perform
advanced SQL testing
to validate data accuracy, integrity, and transformations across multiple sources and targets.
Conduct
data validation and reconciliation
for large-scale
data migration projects into Databricks
.
Work closely with data engineers, migration teams, and business analysts to ensure
data quality and compliance
.
Develop and execute
test cases, queries, and scripts
for data validation and ETL testing.
Identify, document, and track data issues, working with stakeholders for resolution.
Provide
test reports and validation sign-offs
for data migration milestones.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve testing processes, automation, and frameworks.

Required Skills & Experience

Advanced SQL skills
with expertise in writing complex queries for validation and reconciliation.
Proven experience in
data testing/validation for migration projects
, preferably involving
Databricks
.
Strong understanding of
ETL workflows, data warehousing, and big data ecosystems
.
Ability to analyze large datasets and ensure
data completeness, consistency, and accuracy
.
Hands-on experience in
Databricks environment
(Delta Lake, Spark SQL, Dataframes preferred).
Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Nice to Have

Knowledge of
SAP BusinessObjects (BO)
for reporting and validation.
Familiarity with
data governance and data quality frameworks
.
Exposure to
cloud platforms
(Azure, AWS, or GCP) integrated with Databricks.
