Sr Specialist Applications Development

Software Engineer to support development of the Push-Event, Push-OTA, MIND-A, IAM Consent, and IAM Call Verification platforms. On a day to day basis this Principle-Software Engineer will work as part of a DevOps team to develop and maintain platforms for Fraud Detection & Identity services for AAVS and Aduna, and Internal OTA Migrations and Call Verification for Mobility Customer Care.

On a day to day basis responsibilities will include:

• Participate in design discussions/scrum meetings.
• Develop microservices using Java, Spring Boot, and Cassandra.
• Develop REST APIs for other systems to interface with our microservice platforms
• Working with Cassandra database to store and retrieve application data CI/CD Integration using Jenkins to validate code security and push software builds to Dev/Test/Prod sites
• Checking code into GitHub with proper versioning and release notes
• Write unit tests using JUnit and integration tests Load test components using JMeter and ensure that the applications are horizontally scalable. Support operations team with troubleshooting production issues.

• Overall 10+ years in software development
• 8+ years of experience in Programming in Java.
• 3+ years of experience in Spring Boot.
• 3+ years of experience with Cassandra.
• 4+ years of experience with Unix (Ubuntu preferred)
• Experience with (REST) API development
• Experience with Git, Maven, and Gradle
• Experience in performance tuning APIs, using profilers, analyzing heap dumps
• Experience with distributed caching mechanisms and messaging systems (HazelCast)
• Some experience with Angular
• Some experience with IP Networking and Troubleshooting
• Experience with Kubernetes, Docker is a plus
• Experience with Open Search, FluentBit, and TView
