Sr. Software Engineer (Full stack Automation)

As a Senior Software Engineer (Fullstack Automation) at Autodesk, you will be joining the Data Ingestion team within the Analytics Data organization. You will be responsible for processing around 100 billion events and 250TB of data per day from all Autodesk products. Your role involves designing and developing test frameworks to test the infrastructure and systems for the ingestion pipelines. Your contributions will be crucial in developing strategies, tools, processes, and frameworks to ensure the quality of the platform. Responsibilities: - Creatively design and develop innovative strategies, tools, processes, and frameworks for testing components and integration points throughout the platform - Understand and report test results to ensure platform quality, efficiency, reliability, and stability - Collaborate with other engineers to provide testing insights and innovative solutions for platform quality improvement - Configure and deploy server test environments on physical hardware and cloud-based server instances - Oversee the test strategy of the data platform to ensure product quality - Define necessary test automation, design automation flow, and share implementation effort with software engineers - Establish test metrics to measure product quality, testing quality, and provide feedback to engineers - Stay up to date with data testing technologies in the market to drive build or buy conversations where needed Minimum Qualifications: - Bachelors degree, Masters preferred in Computer Science/Information Systems/Engineering or related field - At least 5+ years of experience in developing Automation test suites, Quality Assurance, or Development of complex systems - Proficiency in building test frameworks using Java, Python, and/or Bash (Pytest) - Proficiency in building test frameworks for API and frontend testing with tools like Playwright and Selenium - Familiarity with Test Automation development and non-functional testing such as load, performance, and resiliency testing - Good communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills - Experience working in an agile environment using test-driven methodologies Preferred Qualifications: - QA Experience with Big Data technologies/tools such as Hadoop, Spark, and BI/MIS systems - Understanding of data architecture principles and Airflow - Proficiency in writing SQL queries At Autodesk, amazing things are created every day with their software, ranging from green buildings to smart factories.
