Job Description

Role Overview: As a Data Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to collaborate with team members to develop and maintain data tools and solutions such as pipelines, models, and tables to acquire, process, and store data. Additionally, you will design and develop large-scale data systems like databases, data warehouses, and big data systems for various analytics and business applications. You will also be involved in building data products for business use cases, developing metrics for analytical needs, and optimizing resource utilization to improve SLA and data quality standards. Furthermore, you will mentor fellow engineers on design and architecture, conduct quality code reviews, and contribute to strategic investments and execution. Your role will also involve consulting and advising product engineering teams on data engineering practices. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate with team members to develop and maintain data tools and solutions - Design and develop large-scale data systems, platforms, and infrastructure - Build data products for business use cases in batch and real-time - Develop metrics for analytical needs - Optimize resource utilization and adhere to data quality standards - Mentor fellow engineers on design and architecture - Conduct quality code reviews and design reviews for data product development - Contribute to strategic investments from inception to execution - Consult and advise product engineering teams on data engineering practices Qualifications Required: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience - Experience coding using general-purpose programming languages such as Java, Python, Go, Javascript, Fusion - Expertise in data tech stack, e.g., Spark, Hive Additional Details: Experience in data warehouse technologies and scripting and programming skills are preferred qualifications for this role.,
