Sr. Quality Assurance Engineer

Responsible for testing a component, feature and or feature set. Works independently and contributes to the immediate team and to other teams across business. Roles and Responsibilities

In This Role, You Will

• You&aposll be responsible to define test strategy. Lead the Team of Test engineers in 100 % Test automation
• Qualify integration of multiple features and components in system
• Initiate, introduce new processes to streamline the verification process
• Integrate project testing with CI/CD pipeline
• Conduct load, stress and endurance tests
• Break down problems and estimate time required for quality related tasks
• Work independently and delivers testing and use case creation which meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
• Write effective tests according to best practices so that crucial functional requirements are verified and tests remain valid when code is refactored
• Develop and execute the overall verification strategy for the platform of an on-premises/cloud-based system
• Work with the software developers to implement integration and verification automation at all levels of the software stack and system
• Authoring and reviewing functional and automated tests and test harnesses application and services under test
• Establish and execute test cases essential in identifying and optimizing application performance, including reporting and documenting system problems
• Integrate performance testing with continuous integration process
• Use test automation techniques (data driven, pairwise, mocking, test hooks) that fit the problem space
• Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases
• Develop and enhance the test infrastructure and continuous integration framework.
• Determine testing best practices and principals and promotes them across the organization
  

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor&aposs degree from an accredited university or college
• 6+ years or more professional experience System & Integration Testing
• Experience providing technical leadership to engineers, leading an engineering team, and / or mentorship
  

Essentials Skills

• Exposure to microservice technology
• Demonstrable experience and fluency with Test design Technique Experience in creating verification plan & controlling Verification execution Experience with Java testing frameworks (selenium)
• Experience with and understanding of Git Experience working in Scrum agile environment.
• Experience in end-to-end system testing and automation for small to medium complexity features
• Knowledge of Automated build and testing platforms (Jenkins, Bamboo, etc)
• Deep knowledge of automated testing frameworks and languages (Appium, Selenium, ROBOT, Squish, etc)
• Strong knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, etc)
• Knowledge of testing both with and without a GUI (RESTful API, Web services, device farms etc)
• Knowledge of issue tracking tools such as CA AgileCentral(formerly Rally) Jira, Bugzilla, etc
• Strong knowledge of Distributed Version Control Systems (Subversion, Github, Gitlab etc)
• Expert in breaking down problems and estimating time for tasks
• Able to work under minimal supervision
• Skilled in providing oversight and guiding team members in automation tasks
• Strong Experience in BDD, TDD, Data driven and Hybrid automation frameworks (preferably cucumber & JBehave)
• Strong Experience to programmatically test products; measure test coverage; develop best automation, profiling, and performance/load testing tools; and drive testability and diagnostic ability into the product.
• Expert in performance testing using tools like JMeter or Locust
• Experience enforcing software design with Behavioral Driven Development and Test-driven development

• Complete all planned Quality & Compliance training within the defined deadlines.
• Having DevOps expertise CI/CD pipelines is a plus
• Experience with Medical Devices is a plus
