Sr. Python Software Engineer

You have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Senior Backend Developer in Bangalore. With over 7 years of experience in backend development using Python, specifically Django or Flask frameworks, you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and scaling robust backend systems and APIs. Your expertise in system architecture and performance optimization will be instrumental in delivering reliable, secure, and scalable solutions for mission-critical applications. Working closely with product managers, frontend developers, and DevOps team, you will lead the development and maintenance of backend systems using Python. Your responsibilities will include designing RESTful APIs, integrating third-party services, and optimizing database performance. You will be expected to ensure security best practices, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior developers to enforce coding standards. Collaborating cross-functionally with other engineering teams and stakeholders, you will define and deliver impactful solutions while participating in CI/CD pipeline processes and monitoring application performance. Your strong problem-solving skills and analytical mindset will be essential in debugging production issues and ensuring the scalability of the architecture. To be successful in this role, you should hold a Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with 7+ years of hands-on experience in backend development. Proficiency in Django and/or Flask frameworks, coupled with a good understanding of databases and ORMs, is required. Knowledge of caching mechanisms, message brokers, and containerization will be advantageous, as well as familiarity with cloud platforms. If you have exposure to microservices architecture, experience with GraphQL, or prior contributions to open-source projects, it will be considered a plus. Additionally, the ability to manage a small team or lead a project independently will set you apart as an ideal candidate for this fulltime position in a WFO setting.,
