Sr Project Lead-App Development

Role Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable solutions using Guidewire Policy Center v10.
• Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Conduct product modeling reviews and oversee technical design.
• Stay updated with Guidewire Policy Center v10 features.
• Uphold best practices in architecture and design.
• Customize and improve products, user interfaces, workflows, and business rules.
• Utilize accelerators to expedite development.
• Oversee application configurations, releases, and software upgrades.
• Maintain development environments and manage coding branches.
• Provide mentorship to development teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and lead development teams.
• Use project lifecycle management tools like TFS.
• Collaborate with Project Management and Analysis teams.
• Advise the QA team on potential impacts.
• Work with Guidewire, third-party vendors, and other development teams.
• Recommend new Guidewire Policy Center v10 features.
• Tackle complex technical issues.
• Drive continuous improvement by evaluating new technologies.
• Establish and govern engineering standards.
• Ensure GUnit test cases are integrated into CI/CD pipelines.
• Assist in scripting and automating deployments.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
• Manage production applications against KPIs and troubleshoot issues.

Technical Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Guidewire Policy Center development.
• Leadership and post-implementation ownership of Guidewire Policy Center products.
• 8+ years leading and managing development teams.
• 10+ years of Java development experience.
• Expertise in Guidewire APIs, Product Designer, GX Model, and integrations.
• Experience with Guidewire Rating engine and configurations.
• Knowledge of Guidewire Renewal API and data migration strategies.
• Familiarity with ALM best practices.
• Experience with Guidewire application partitioning and optimization.
• Proficiency in secure software development practices.
• Experienced with Agile SCRUM methodology and tools.
• Skilled in managing DevOps processes.

General Qualifications

• Commercial P&C insurance knowledge is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and adept at guiding teams to solutions.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, or a related field is strongly preferred.
