Additionally, you will guide the evaluation of current technology and lead the evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks. Your role will involve regularly providing technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors. You will also be responsible for developing secure and high-quality production code, reviewing and debugging code written by others, and driving decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes. Furthermore, you will serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus and actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle. Your influence will extend to peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies, while adding to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect. **Key Responsibilities:** - Represent a product family of technical governance bodies - Provide feedback and propose improvements to architecture governance practices - Guide evaluation of current technology and lead evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks - Regularly provide technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors - Develop secure and high-quality production code, review and debug code written by others - Drive decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes - Serve as a function-wide subject matter expert in one or more areas of focus - Actively contribute to the engineering community as an advocate of firmwide frameworks, tools, and practices of the Software Development Life Cycle - Influence peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies - Add to the team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect **Qualification Required:** - Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience - Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability - Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture - Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.) - Demonstrated ability to partner with product managers, developers, and business stakeholders to align architectural decisions with business objectives and customer needs - Well versed with RESTful API standards and messaging standards along with the ability to perform the architecture-to-code review working with the technology teams - Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect If you are excited about the opportunity to shape the future of technology in financial services and have the desired qualifications and skills, we encourage you to apply and be a part of our innovative team.,
