Java API Engineer (7+ years)

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as a

  core member of an Agile team

  , analyzing user stories and developing responsive web applications.
• Perform hands-on coding, unit testing, proof of concepts, and

  code reviews

  in ongoing sprints.
• Drive continuous improvement through

  refactoring and optimization

  of code.
• Build integrations and APIs with other enterprise platforms and systems.
• Collaborate with

  Product Managers, Backend, and Frontend Engineers

  to solve complex problems.
• Work with Product Owners to define requirements, plan feature increments, and deliver value.
• Ensure automation by partnering with QA Engineers to create and maintain

  automated test scripts

• Design and build

  integration components and interfaces

  in collaboration with Architects and Infrastructure Engineers.

Required Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field

  , or equivalent work experience.

• 7+ years

  of professional experience in

  Java

  with deep knowledge of web fundamentals and HTTP protocol.

• 5+ years

  developing enterprise Java applications (Java 11+ preferred).
• Strong expertise in

  Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Microservices

  .
• Experience with frameworks like

  Dropwizard

  (a plus).

• 23 years

  of recent experience with

  JavaScript/Node.js

  (a plus).

• 3+ years

  of experience with

  TDD, BDD

  , and testing tools:

  Selenium, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, JUnit, Mockito

  .
• Experience working in

  CI/CD environments

  .

• 34 years

  of Agile/SAFe development experience.
• Solid understanding of

  distributed systems

  and proven ability to build scalable web applications.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
