Sr. Highway Design Engineer

Role Overview: As an experienced Highway Design Engineer, your role will involve carrying out the design and reviewing the work of Assistant Engineers and CAD technicians in the team to ensure the quality of deliverables. You will be responsible for overseeing and troubleshooting the highway design work, guiding Assistant Engineers in design calculations, and assisting CAD technicians in preparing drawings. Additionally, you should take initiatives to develop the design ability of Assistant Engineers and enhance the overall quality of the team's deliverables. Mentoring Assistant Engineers and providing valuable inputs to the Head of Department/Technical Manager for the continuous development of the team members will be part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities: - Design and review the work of Assistant Engineers and CAD technicians - Oversee and troubleshoot highway design work - Guide Assistant Engineers in design calculations and CAD technicians in drawing preparation - Develop design ability of Assistant Engineers - Improve the quality of deliverables of the team - Mentor Assistant Engineers - Provide inputs for staff development to HOD/Technical Manager Qualifications Required: - 10-20 years of experience in highway design - Knowledge of design codes such as IRC Code, Eurocode, DMRB, AASHTO - Understanding of analysis and design principles of highways - Hands-on experience in using highway design software (e.g., MX Roads) - Proficiency in tools like AutoCAD/MicroStation for preparing drawings - Strong teamwork skills and ability to coordinate with team members and project managers for timely project delivery - Professional proficiency in English language (written and verbal),
