Sr GCP Data Engineer

As a GCP Data Engineer + BI, you will play a crucial role in handling data engineering tasks and BI reporting responsibilities using Google Cloud Platform (GCP) tools and technologies. Your primary focus will be on supporting the migration of reporting data sources from Teradata to Cerebro (BigQuery), along with repointing and validating existing Power BI reports to new BigQuery data models. Your proactive problem-solving mindset will be essential in designing and developing new tables, views, and queries in BigQuery to facilitate the migrated reports. Key Responsibilities: - Support the migration of reporting data sources from Teradata to Cerebro (BigQuery). - Repoint and validate existing Power BI reports to new BigQuery data models. - Design and develop new tables, views, and queries in BigQuery to support migrated reports. - Conduct QA validation to ensure data accuracy and performance parity post-migration. - Collaborate with the BI and infrastructure teams to optimize data pipelines and ensure seamless integration. - Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to query performance, permissions, or connectivity. Qualifications Required: - 5-10 years of experience in data engineering or related roles. - Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Teradata, SQL, Python, and Power BI. - Strong communication and collaboration abilities. - Proactive problem-solving mindset. - Comfortable working in cross-functional international teams.
