About the Role

We are looking for a skilled senior ePub developer to join our dynamic team. You will play a key role in creating interactive, accessible, and high-quality eBooks that deliver an exceptional reading experience across devices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ePub 2 and ePub 3 eBooks in line with industry standards and best practices
• Ensure eBooks comply with WCAG and EPUB Accessibility Guidelines for inclusivity
• Collaborate closely with design and editorial teams to integrate interactive and multimedia features
• Conduct thorough QA to detect and fix bugs, compatibility, and performance issues
• Optimize eBook files for seamless performance across various platforms and devices
• Stay current with emerging digital publishing trends and implement innovative solutions
• Provide technical support and troubleshoot issues for internal teams and clients

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Digital Publishing, or a related discipline
• 4-6 years of hands-on experience developing ePub 2 and ePub 3 eBooks
• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML
• Deep understanding of ePub accessibility standards and guidelines
• Proven experience integrating interactivity, multimedia, and animations into eBooks
• Familiarity with eBook conversion tools such as Ultraedit, Sigil, and Adobe InDesign
• Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within teams
• Clear and effective communication skills for diverse audiences
