Role Overview: As a Senior Design Engineer in the Pharma Industry, your primary responsibility will be to design, draft, and detail engineering of equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, and heat exchangers. You will be utilizing your advanced knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks to prepare pipeline drawings, assembly drawings, subassembly drawings, component drawings, and pipeline drawings. Your expertise in designing and drafting mechanical equipment while ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency will be crucial in this role. Key Responsibilities: - Utilize advanced knowledge of AutoCAD (2D/3D) and SolidWorks for preparing pipeline drawings - Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) with the assistance of SolidWorks models - Design, draft, and detail engineering of equipment such as pressure vessels, columns, and heat exchangers - Prepare mechanical data sheets and ensure compliance with ASME / API / TEMA & PED standards - Check and review BOMs and fabrication drawings - Coordinate engineering activities with other divisions and clients - Develop detailed design drawings and specifications for mechanical equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD - Prepare plant layout models in SolidWorks and generate BOMs from those models - Review and analyze specifications, sketches, drawings, and related data to assess component designs - Modify and revise designs to correct operating deficiencies or production problems Qualifications Required: - Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field Additional Details: The company is seeking a Senior Design Engineer with 4-5+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Experience in the fabrication of pressure vessels and related equipment using SolidWorks and AutoCAD is preferred. Knowledge of ASME, API, TEMA, PED, and BOM creation is essential for this role.
