Sr. Data Storage(SAN)/Backup Administrator

As a NetBackup Storage Architect, your main job responsibilities will include performing technology watch to contribute to the strategy and evolution of existing services and future architecture around communication platforms. You will support and manage various NetBackup storage products while implementing multi-protocol environments like FC, iSCSI, NFS, and CIFS in NetApp NAS environment. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and troubleshooting backup operations on a day-to-day basis, performing root cause analysis for backup issues, and hands-on experience with troubleshooting restores. You will also be involved in migrating data for various hosts such as Solaris, AIX, Linux, and Windows hosts, as well as working with systems administrators to troubleshoot related storage problems or performance issues. Other responsibilities include storage allocations, LUN masking, data migrations, performance monitoring on storage, setting up alerts and notifications, developing and implementing CLI scripts for NetBackup and fiber switch configuration and administration. You will also participate in planning and implementing storage array changes including firmware version and storage virtualization, as well as defining requirements and specifications with internal groups in an Agile setting. To excel in this role, you must have expertise in Data Storage Technologies, ONTAP, Hitachi, Storage Grid, SAN BROCADE (FC network, not storage) at an Enterprise level. You should possess the ability to design storage/backup infrastructure based on customer requirements and have experience with NetBackup and Commvault as a Senior Architect. Technical or operational experience in data storage/backup administration in IT, general networking experience, and maintaining storage/backup infrastructure via the full cycle of multi-protocol environments are also required skills. The minimum required education for this position is a Bachelor's Degree with professional certifications. This is a permanent full-time job in a hybrid work profile with a requirement of 8+ years of experience. The location for this position is in Bangalore.
